Community invited to Veterans Day program at Phelps School

The School District of Phelps will honor veterans during their Veterans Day Program on Friday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. in the school’s big gym under the direction of Jace Gwynn.

The program will include a presentation of colors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars-Amvets Post 8400 of Land O’ Lakes, student musical and choral performances under the direction of music teacher Lisa Duquaine, and student readings by the 8th grade civics class.

The program’s guest speaker will be the commander of Land O’ Lakes VFW Post 8400. The program is open to community members and local veterans.

Veterans and community members are invited to coffee and donuts prior to the assembly and lunch with the students in the commons area that follows the program.
