After an inspection by Sno-Eagles, Inc., the portion of corridor trail 13/10 that was temporarily closed between Trail Intersection Number (TIN) 103 and 105, is now safe to reopen for snowmobile travel, according to the Vilas County Parks and Recreation supervisor Todd Bierman.
“Water levels have stabilized and the areas of concern have frozen. Snowmobilers are advised to stay on the marked trail as areas off the trail are still wet and it could cause riders to get stuck,” he said.
The club also noted that grooming will not be done in that area, and riders can expect rough and icy trail conditions. Colder weather in the near future should stabilize the section further and allow for routine grooming to continue.
“Please ride safe, stay on the trails, don’t ride impaired, and remember that the speed limit at night is 55 mph. We want all to enjoy our trails and return home safe,” Bierman added.
