The Phelps emergency services and sheriff’s department recently invited the Phelps District grades 4K through 5th grade students to a safety fair at the fire station. Chief Norm Mesun welcomed the students and introduced Sheriff Shelbe, and fire fighters Robbie Andersen, Joel Chimel, Steve Vetter, Josh Hedberg, Jake Marino, Jeff Kinner, Lucas Gill, Michelle Carter and Carole Selin. Each grade visited six different stations led by two of the volunteers covering the fire trucks, sheriff car, safety boat and question and answer fire safety at home.
