Posted

Four Three Lakes boys’ basketball players made it to the Northern Lakes Conference all-conference teams this season, after Three Lakes finished second in the regular season standings at 6-2, behind 8-0 Laona-Wabeno.

Sophomore Easton Lurvey was a unanimous first-team selection and was also named the offensive player of the year in the conference. Lurvey led the Bluejays and the conference in scoring at 24.9 points per game in NLC contests.

Other Three Lakes players who made all-conference appearances were senior Levi Lurvey as a second-team selection, while junior Owen Liebscher and sophomore Sam Kosuta were tabbed as honorable mention selections.

Easton Lurvey was one of the top scorers in the state, not just in the conference or on his team. He finished the conference season at nearly 25 PPG while shooting the ball at 46.2% from the field and 37.8% from the 3-point line.

At 6-foot-2, Lurvey also averaged 12.9 rebounds per game in conference games. He also led the team in free-throw percentage at 85%. This was his second consecutive first-team honor.

Levi Lurvey finished the conference season averaging 9.4 points and 2.1 rebounds, along with two steals. He shot decently from the floor in his senior season, hitting 33.8% of his field goal attempts, while shooting 38.6% from beyond the 3-point line.

Koshuta broke through as one of the team’s other consistent scoring options in his second season. He averaged 12.4 points per game during the conference slate, which was second on the team. This is Koshuta’s first all-conference nomination after improving from his three points per game average in seven games as a freshman.

He shot the ball at a 43% clip and 44% from the 3-point line. He also averaged 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.

Lastly, Liebscher finished his season as an honorable mention as the starting point guard for the Bluejays. He averaged just about seven points per game and 5.4 assists per game. He ranked second in the conference with his assist average. He was truly a pass-first kind of player in the point guard role.

Liebscher was also an honorable mention selection last year as a sophomore.
