Fundraiser at Brule River Tap Benefits Animal Shelters

A recent animal shelter fundraiser at the Brule River Tap and Supper Club in Nelma raised $1,950, which will be split between Wild Instincts Wildlife Rescue in Rhinelander and Northwoods Animal Shelter in Iron River, Mich.

The event featured a Halloween costume contest, live music by Just Wayne, raffles, a silent auction, door prizes and free treats for dogs.

Both shelters are in need of supplies, and their need lists can be found on their websites: wildinstinctsrehab.com and northwoodsanimalshelter.com. The event was coordinated by Laura Aldridge of Caspian, Mich.
