John Branner Armentrout
Mr. John Branner Armentrout, age 83, of Rickman, formally of Saint Germain passed away peacefully at his home on the evening of Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
He was born on February 5, 1943, in Highland Park, Illinois, to the late Ernest Branner Armentrout and Frances Ann Istvaneck Armentrout. After graduating from high school, John married the love of his life, Sandra Kay Angyan. Together, they began building a beautiful legacy, living in Wisconsin before settling in Rickman, Tennessee, where they have spent the past 25 years.
John enjoyed a long and successful career as a car salesman, a profession in which he truly excelled. A passionate NASCAR fan, his favorite driver was Matt Kenseth, a fellow Wisconsin native. John will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, and his passion for life. His family was his greatest pride and joy.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Sandra Armentrout of Rickman, TN; his children, John Branner (Margarett) Armentrout, Jr., of Juneau, WI, Stephen J. (Michele) Armentrout of Juneau, WI, Jerod M. Armentrout of Wausau, WI, Jennifer L. (Jeff) Sergent of Eagle River; grandchildren, Eric Armentrout, Victoria (Matthew) Armentrout-Finzel, Jacob Armentrout, Samuel Armentrout, Mason Armentrout, Irelyn Armentrout, Hunter Sergent; great-grandchildren, Danika, Eric Branner, John, Jerod, Adalyn. Also surviving his sister, Mary Lynn (David) Justman, of Juneau, WI; and nephew, Michael (Kristene) Bauer.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved grandson, John Gardner Armentrout.
Services will be held at a later date.
