Kenneth K. Krause, 89, of Eagle River, WI, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at his care home in Bonduel, WI.
Born on July 19, 1936, to the late Walter and Lorraine (Crass) Krause.
Kenneth dedicated 34 years of faithful service to the Vilas County Highway Department, retiring in 1998. Kenneth found great joy in all of nature’s wonders, especially the many deer that he would feed out of his hand.
He was known to everyone who had the pleasure of his acquaintance as the most kind and gentle person they had ever met.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley; his daughter, Keely; and his parents.
Kenneth is survived by his brother, Marv Krause; his niece; his nephews; and many extended family members; and friends who will miss him dearly.
A private graveside service will be held in the new year.
