Land O’ Lakes hosts annual Zombie Crawl and Witch’s Ball

Last weekend, Land O’ Lakes was alive with eerie excitement as the Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Zombie Crawl and Witch’s Ball, drawing a crowd of undead enthusiasts to town.

Kicking off Saturday afternoon at the Veterans Center, artists transformed eager participants into ghoulish zombies, a process that set the spooky tone for the night. 

With Charlie’s Northwoods Market providing themed snacks, the zombies boarded limousine buses that ferried them to local spots, including Brews Pub, Black Oak Inn, Bent’s Camp (with live music), Melanie Mae’s, Twilight Supper Club and Bear Trap.

The night’s final stop was the Witch’s Ball at Gateway Lodge, where DJ Doc Gary Fryar kept the crowd dancing with his signature tunes. 

The evening included a costume contest and plenty of pizza from Melanie Mae’s to keep the hungry zombies fueled.
