Land O' Lakes Public Library

The Land O’ Lakes Library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. The library will open as usual from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The annual Holiday Ornament Workshop will be held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 30, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Stop in at any point during this time to create holiday ornaments with your friends and family. This workshop will be enjoyable for all ages — including adults!
There will be a Christmas Cookie Decorating Workshop offered on Friday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. This class will be taught by Dottie Reeder. There is no charge for the Cookie Decorating Workshop. However, please call the library to register as space is limited.
Storytime Read n’ Play is held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 10:30 a.m. All children and their caregivers are welcome.
Lego Club is held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. However, January’s meetings will be held on the 2nd (Jan. 8) and 4th (Jan. 22) Wednesdays so as not to conflict with New Year’s Day. Participants may be dropped off or take the school bus to the library. Call the library with any questions.

Qigong and Balance classes, taught by Dottie Reeder, are offered on Fridays from 9 - 10 a.m. through January. No classes will be held on the Fridays after Thanksgiving (Nov. 29) and Christmas (Dec. 27). There is no charge for Qigong and all are welcome.
Mahjong games are held Tuesdays at 1 p.m. in the downstairs community room. Beginning and experienced players are all welcome. If interested, contact the library or stop in.
The Land O’ Lakes Library has some great new cookbooks to plan your holiday snacks: “Sweet Tooth: 100 Desserts to Save Room For” by Sarah Fennel, “My Mexican Kitchen: 100 Recipes Rich with Tradition, Flavor, and Spice” by Eva Longoria, “The Perfect Loaf: The Craft and Science of Sourdough Breads, Sweets, and More” by Maurizio Leo, “The Great British Baking Show 2024: Comfort Bakes” by The Bake Off Team, and “Preppy Kitchen Super Easy: 100 Simple and Versatile Recipes” by John Kanell.
Library hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
