Master Gardeners to address Three Lakes Women’s Club

Posted

Fall gardening tips, saving seeds, and growing microgreens are just some of the topics to be discussed at the next meeting of the Three Lakes Women’s Club on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. at the Reiter Center in Three Lakes.

Master Gardeners and club members Dorothy Sadowski and Kathy Johnston are the featured speakers for this meeting.

Dorothy will share best practices for collecting and saving various seeds in the fall to be used for planting in the spring. Kathy will demonstrate how easy it is to grow your own microgreens. Members are invited to bring a disposable container, 3 to 4 inches deep, and a pack of radish, lettuce or spinach seeds to plant.

Reservations for the meeting are requested by Friday, Oct. 11, to Mary G. Contact information can be found in the club booklet. Dues can also be paid at this meeting.

The Three Lakes Women’s Club is always interested in welcoming new members. Organized in 1946, the Women’s Club’s mission is to provide annual scholarships to young women who graduate from Three Lakes High School. They also work to encourage, support and sponsor activities that benefit the Three Lakes community.
