Carter Nelson is one of the few seniors on this year’s Three Lakes-Phelps football team. He plays football because he loves being a part of a team, and he hopes to help raise his level of play along with his teammates with his energy out on the field. Do you have a nickname that your friends or family call you?
“Nelly or Chevy, Nelly is from my dad calling me and I’m not sure about Chevy.”

What is your favorite sport to play?
Football, because I like the team aspect of the game.”

Is there a personal goal you want in football this year?
“To get everyone around me and myself to the next level, where we can compete on a week-to-week basis.”

What other hobbies do you have outside of sports?
“Swimming and Fortnite”

Favorite vacation spot that you’ve been to?

“Tucson, because we go there most Christmases, and it’s a break from the cold.”

What’s a pregame ritual that helps you before Friday nights?
“Going through my gea,r making sure I’m set.”

Do you have any plans for after high school?
“Going to a four-year college.”
