The Northwoods Baseball Classic crowned champions this past Sunday in the 11u, 12u, 13u and 14u age brackets after three days of baseball were played at Don Burnside Park in Three Lakes.

The first two days of play were pool play, in which each team played two games and was then seeded for Sunday games based on wins and losses.

In the 11u division, Waukesha came away as champions, defeating Rhinelander in the championship game.

The 12u team from La Grange, Ill., worked through the three days of action and was crowned the champion come Sunday. They defeated Shorewood in the championship game to win the division.

In 13u action, Norway, Mich., went undefeated in pool play and only allowed a single run in two games. They defeated Oconomowoc 3-1 Friday afternoon and D.C. Everest 10-0 on Saturday to get straight into the championship game as the top overall seed out of the three pools. They went on to beat Kettle Moraine, which was the second overall seed in the division.

Lastly, in 14u, Superior was also the top overall seed in the division after winning both pool play games. They went on to topple Hartland, the No. 3 overall seed, and beat No. 2 Merton to get a spot in the championship.
