The Northwoods Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club will again host a four-day outboard motor sale, swap and display meet at Sara Park in Tomahawk next week.
Things kicked off Tuesday, Aug. 5, and will go through Friday, Aug. 8.
The meeting will run from roughly 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and will end at 5 p.m. on Friday. The event is free to spectators.
Old outboards and boats on display in the hockey arena, and vendors around the grounds will be selling hundreds of antique and classic outboard motors and a variety of parts. Organizers say that Wednesday and Thursday are the best viewing days.
Six on-water events will also highlight the final three days of the event (Wednesday through Friday). Three events are held on Wednesday, Aug. 6, with the Merc KF5/Mark 5 event from 10 to 11 a.m., the Mod Zephyr event from 1 to 2 p.m. and the 5.5 hp 1959 or older outboard event from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday’s on-water events start with a stock zephyr event running from 10 to 11 a.m. and a blindfolded event from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday will have the predicted log event from 10 to 11 a.m.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy a walk around the grounds to view all the antiques and classics.
