Pines student council to host community event before Aug. 28 home football game

The Northland Pines student council is putting together a mini carnival and food truck tailgate experience ahead of the first home football game of the season, Friday, Aug. 28, in the Northland Pines High School parking lot near the football field. The event will run from 4:30 p.m. to the start of the game at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and all ages. This event is a fundraiser for the 2026-27 NPHS student council.

Community members and football fans alike can come together for an enjoyable evening of games and a variety of food truck grub. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
Activities being offered include ring toss, balloon pop, a bouncy house, dunk tank and face painting, plus more. Game tickets are 10 for $5 or 20 for $10.

Seven different food trucks will be on-premises to serve a variety of tasty food, sweet treats and drinks for attendees.
