Cherished husband of Carolyn (nee Plischke). Loving father to Lynda (Tom) Krecklow, Sue (Doug) Schaber, Sandy (Paul) Behling and John Hartenstein. Caring grandpa to 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Survived by his brother, Alan (Linda) Hartenstein.
