Ronald "Pop" Hanson

Ronald A. Hanson, age 85, passed away Saturday June 14, 2025, in Eagle River, WI.     

 

He was born on September 29, 1939, in Hammond, IN to Alfred and Leona Hanson. 

 

Ron married to the love of his life, Marion on October 20, 1979. He had many careers over the years from his Concrete business, Restaurant owner, Construction worker to Superintendent of Sherwood Golf Course in Schererville, IN, and also proudly served in the US Army. 

 

Ron loved working in his wood shop crafting furniture to building his beautiful bird houses. His talent was endless. He truly was a master craftsman. 

 

Ron is survived by his wife, Marion; daughters, Kristin Kuhn and Deanna Cash; sister, Judy Beggs; brothers, Dennis (Sylvia) Hanson, Marvin (Eileen) Hanson, James (Ruth) Hanson; sister-in-law, Nancy Hill; as well as many nieces; and nephews; cousins; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father in law, Marion and Robert Crider; sister and brother in laws, and his best buddy Riley.

A memorial service will be at 2pm on Friday June 27, 2025, at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
