Roxanne Fortin
Roxanne (Huckbody) Fortin, 68, of Eagle River, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her home on September 16, 2026.
Roxanne was born May 3, 1958, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Milton and Beverly Huckbody. On August 27, 1977, she married her beloved husband and best friend, Joseph “Joe” Fortin, in Bremerton, Washington. Together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage.
Roxanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a proud military wife who stood faithfully beside Joe throughout his 20 years of service. She loved spending time with family and friends, sewing, attending Harley-Davidson events, and dancing to polka music. She worked throughout her life as a welder and bartender.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughters, Nichole Bergeron and her husband Eric Bergeron, and Jennifer Ratliff and her husband Matt Ratliff; grandchildren Austin Ratliff, Aurora Ratliff, and Trisha Bond; and siblings, Pam Brown, Sandy Teske, and Steve Huckbody.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Beverly Huckbody; her son, James; and her brother, Kurt Huckbody.
Roxanne will be remembered for her love of family, her adventurous spirit, her love of music and dancing, and the many memories she created with those closest to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday September 25, 2026, at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
