The Phelps Fire Department and Auxiliary are sponsoring the 13th annual Phelps Santa Project, led by Dick and Deb Ryan.
The project partners with the Phelps School District, which provides a list of local children’s ages, sizes and gift preferences—without personal details. Volunteers shop, wrap and deliver these gifts to the school.
Funding relies on the community’s generosity, which has made each Christmas special for Phelps children in recent years. “We are looking to the community to help make this Christmas a little brighter for the children in Phelps,” said Deb Ryan.
Donations can be sent to the Phelps Santa Project, P.O. Box 32, Phelps, WI 54554.
Checks should be made out to the Phelps Firemen’s Auxiliary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions are tax-deductible, and the deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 4.
