A men’s and women’s senior golf championship will be held later this month at the Eagle River Golf Course just north of downtown. The event will take place Sunday, July 12, with the registration deadline set for Friday, July 10.

Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

There is a $25 entry fee, cash only, with green and cart fees as an additional cost.

This championship is a fundraiser for Tunnels to Towers, with a donation to the organization.

Prize money will be prorated based on the number of golfers in each division. Golfers aged 55-64 in the men’s division will play from the white tees, with 65-74 playing from the gold and anyone 75 and older will hit from the red tees. In the women’s division, everyone will play from the red tees.

Businesses looking to become hole sponsors for the event are asked to make a $100 donation to the Tunnels to Towers organization. Contact Ken Biegel at 715-482-7886 if interested. One hundred percent of the money will go to the cause, with 93% going directly to families of military, police and first responders who have been killed or severely injured in the line of duty. Any other donations are welcome, which can be made payable to T 2 T Fundraiser. Checks can then be sent to Ken Biegel, RE/MAX Property Pros, PO Box 1058, 888 W Pine St, Eagle River, WI 54521. Checks will be collected together and sent to the organization.
