It ended up being a big payday for former track champion Rod Snellenberger, of Pulaski, who won the IMCA stock car feature July 1 at Eagle River Speedway and went home with an extra $1,000.
He would end up passing the leader on lap eight of the feature and keep hometown driver Jason Zdroik behind him to capture the checkered flag. It was his 232nd career IMCA stock car victory.
Zdroik would finish second in the race after starting in 10th.
Other winners on the evening included Travis Friske, beating his son Zach Friske while leading all 20 laps in late model action. Zach won last week’s feature race in Eagle River. The B Mod feature went to Dave Dishaw, the Ontonagon, Mich. racer who fought off Dustin White in the last few laps.
Hometown driver David Blackberg collected a win in his street stock, while Jackson Geragi, of Elsworth, won the 600 micro sprint, Cooper Aho, of Twin Lakes, Mich., won the 300 pro micro sprint and Beaver Dam visitor Kaides Coombs won the semipro 300 micro sprint.
