Three Northland Pines boys basketball players were named to the Great Northern Conference (GNC) 2025-’26 all-conference teams, including senior Mylo Albrecht, who received co-Player of the Year.
Albrecht was a unanimous selection to the first team and joined Devon Feck of Rhinelander with co-Player of the Year honors.
Two other Northland Pines players received postseason honors, including junior Ethan Miller and junior Jack Albrecht, who both received honorable mention.
Mylo Albrecht, a 6-foot-3 forward, averaged 18.9 points per game in the GNC and 6.1 rebounds per game. The left-handed shooter dropped 39.8% of his field goals, including 31.1% from three-point range. He also made 72% of his free throws. Albrecht hit for 1,000 points in his career during the season.
Northland Pines coach Terry Klemett said he was proud of Mylo Albrecht’s achievements.
“Mylo is well deserving of Player of the Year,” said Klemett. “Mylo puts in a lot of time when no one is watching. He loves the game and is the hardest worker I have ever coached. He plays extremely well on both sides of the ball. He’s had a tremendous career here and will be one of the top players ever in the program. I am extremely proud and blessed to be able to coach him the last few seasons.”
Miller, a 6-foot-8 junior forward, averaged 11.8 points per game in the GNC and grabbed 6.5 rebounds per game, including 3.5 offensive boards per game. He shot 60.6% from the field and drained 30.8% of his three-point attempts. He shot 60% from the foul line.
Klemett said Miller improved greatly from his sophomore to junior seasons.
“He has really had a good year. He works really hard, and his focus is very sharp,” said Klemett. “He had some huge games for us this past season and will be a force next year. It’s very deserving for him to be selected.”
Jack Albrecht, a 6-foot-2 junior guard, averaged 9.2 points per game in the GNC and 3.4 assists per game. He also contributed 3.2 rebounds per game. He shot 44% from the field, including 36.8% from three-point range. He made 65.2% of his free throws and had only 2.1 turnovers per game from the point guard position.
Klemett noted that Jack Albrecht has been a starting point guard for the Eagles since his freshman year.
“Jack plays well above his age and does a great job leading our team. He’s one of the best point guards in the league, and he had some really good games for us this year. He is well deserving of being named. Jack will be counted on to do even bigger things next season, and I know he will shine.”
With the play of three GNC honorees, the Eagles finished 6-8 in the GNC and 14-10 overall.
“I’m very proud of all of them and their hard work. They are all a joy to coach and work with,” said Klemett. “I have been very fortunate to have had some great players in this program, and these three are right up there with all of them.”
