A motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 51 at Highway L in the town of Nokomis Saturday afternoon, causing life-threatening injuries to two riders.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was notified at approximately 4:20 p.m. of the crash.
During the initial investigation, it was learned that two motorcycles entering Highway 51 from Highway L were struck by a southbound Ford F-250. The primary involved motorcycle was operated by 38-year-old Michael Yeager, with 37-year-old passenger Jennifer Yeager of Marshfield, who were both transported from the scene with life-threatening injuries.
The pickup truck was operated by 66 year-old David Larson of Fond Du Lac. The second motorcycle involved was operated by 49 year-old Christopher Maples of Park Falls. Larson and Maples were uninjured.
On scene assisting the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office included personnel from the Wisconsin State Patrol, Nokomis First Responders, Nokomis Fire Department, Cassian Fire Department, Oneida County Ambulance Medic-4, and Tomahawk EMS Ambulance E26.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is completing the accident report and investigation.
