UTV fatality recorded in town of Enterprise

A fatal UTV versus tree crash was recorded by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office earlier this month in the town of Enterprise.

The sheriff’s office responded to a call at approximately 5:30 p.m. on May 2 about a half-mile south of trail intersection 266 off Bowman Road.

According to a press release issued by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, upon arriving on scene the deputies located the operator who was identified as 70-year-old David R. McMillen of Salem, Wis. He was pronounced deceased at the scene after his 2024 Polaris UTV struck a tree. The passenger — 70-year-old Robert J. Ogle of Antioch, Ill.. — was treated for minor injuries on scene and released.

The Wisconsin DNR is completing the accident report. Assisting the sheriff’s office were DNR, Crescent Fire Department, Fire District Alpha, Oneida County Medical Examiner, and Oneida County Ambulance.
