White wins double B-mod feature; Snellenberger grabs win No. 234

Eagle River driver Dustin White grabbed a pair of B-mod feature wins, and Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger continued his dominance with win No. 234 in the IMCA stock car class at Eagle River Speedway yesterday. 

White secured both B-mod feature wins, with one of the wins coming in a makeup race from last week after the B-mod feature got canceled due to the rain. In the first feature, the hometown driver gained the lead on lap one and never let it go as he claimed the checkered flag. In the later feature, White started eighth and paved his way to the front by lap five and held off the pack through multiple caution periods.

Snellenberger is Wisconsin’s winningest driver in the IMCA stock division and started in sixth before he worked his way through the pack to get the win. 

Front-row rider Jonathan Miller, out of Eagle River, had a decent cushion through five laps before Snellenberger passed him on the high side on lap six and held off his competitors the rest of the way in the 20-lap run. Miller would end up taking second. 

Other feature winners on the evening included Dave Bennett in the late model feature, with Stockholm’s Lucas Peterson taking second. 

A 15-car street stock feature ended with seven by the end of the race, with Jason Eisel coming out of the contest clean with the win. Bobby Hommerding went on to lead every lap in a caution-free pure stock race. 

Escanaba, Michigan’s Chase Riche fended off pressure from behind to collect a 600 micro sprint feature win, while Twin Lakes, Michigan’s Cooper Aho won the 300 Pro micro sprint, and Archer Peter scored the Semi-Pro 300 win.
