The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus will travel to Wisconsin next week and will perform two shows at the Vilas County Fairgrounds on Friday, July 4, at 2 and 4:30 p.m.
Showtimes will be in the afternoon and will run for 90 minutes, but plenty of family-friendly activities will be set up throughout the day.
The group will come to town and perform a brand-new 2025 performance that features big cats, Simone, an aerialist extraordinaire, the Perez daredevil duo on the tight rope, the wheel of destiny, hand and foot juggling by the Macias family and the fan-favorite circus clown Leo Action.
Tickets can be purchased in person ahead of time at Kenny's Elite Auto Detail & Printing, Yum Yum Bowl, the Eagle River Chamber or Dublin's Mimosas at a discounted price of $13 for adults and $8 for children and seniors (65+). Tickets can also be bought online until 10 p.m., Thursday, July 3, or until they are sold out. They can be purchased at https://cm-circus.square.site for $13.75 for adults and $8.75 for children and seniors.
On performance day, attendees can buy tickets at the door for $16 for adults and $9 for children (ages 2-12) and seniors, with any child under the age of two being admitted for free.
Events throughout the day kick off at 9:30 a.m. on the Fourth of July with a free event, where everyone is invited to watch the Big Top (tent) be set up, along with the opportunity to tour the grounds and get a behind-the-scenes look at the production. Participants will learn about life on the road and more about the animals.
At 1 p.m., different activities will be open to the public, like pony rides, a bounce house, a giant slide and face painting, along with the ticket office and concession stand opening up at that time as well before the two performances.
