The Cranberry Country Quilters Quilt Show will be held Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Northland Pines High School Fieldhouse, 1800 Pleasure Island Road, Eagle River.

More than 250 quilts will be on display, some of which will be available for purchase. The event includes quilt shop vendors, the quilters’ boutique featuring handmade items and resale quilt supplies, demonstrations, door prizes, an antique bed turning and a quilt raffle. Admission is $5.

At 1:30 p.m., a Quilt of Valor will be presented to retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Erica Carroll, a 20-year veteran who grew up in the area.

Winners of two quilt raffles will be announced at 2 p.m.

Taco Dan’s and Dublin’s food trucks will be on site during the event. The Northland Pines Community Foundation will also host its Wheels and Deals sale of new and used vehicles, boats and other items in the football field parking lot.

Quilter honoree

Joyce Owens is being recognized as the Cranberry Country Quilters’ 2026 Quilt Show Honoree for her passion for quilting, leadership and dedication to teaching and mentoring fellow quilters.

Known for her vibrant use of color, Owens creates quilts distinguished by bold fabric combinations, thoughtful design and detailed machine quilting. While she often begins with a pattern, she is recognized for making each project uniquely her own through creative fabric selection and color placement. Although experienced in longarm quilting, Owens prefers quilting on her home sewing machine.

Owens has served the guild in several leadership roles, including president from 2003 to 2004 and again from 2019 to 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as vice president from 2007 to 2008.

Guild members said Owens’ creativity, leadership, generosity and commitment to lifelong learning have enriched the quilting community and inspired countless fellow quilters.
