Returning to the famed Chain of Lakes this weekend is the 31st annual Fishing Has No Boundaries (FHNB) event for anglers with disabilities.
The event will be headquartered at Chanticleer Inn this Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7, with fishing planned from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
In addition to full days of fishing, dozens of fishermen and -women also will have the chance to win many donated door prizes and awards for various fishing categories.
FHNB Chapter Chair Wil Campbell said organizers have high expectations.
“This will be our 31st annual event, held where participants can find fun-filled hours on the beautiful Chain of Lakes with its great scenery and fantastic fishing,” Campbell said. “Add to the event qualified personnel combined with fine food and a lot of fun, and you have a ‘can’t miss’ outing.”
Many companies and individuals donate time and products for the participants attending the event.
Each participant gets a FHNB hat, gold medallion, certificate of achievement and an event shirt. Door prizes will be available as well as awards in various fishing categories.
“We make the event competitive for those who enjoy competition. We are all volunteers who look forward to seeing you at Fishing Has No Boundaries here in Eagle River,” Campbell said.
