FORK accepting nominations for 2024 Crimson FORK Award

Posted

Feed Our Rural Kids (FORK) is now accepting nominations of a person, organization, or business one believes to have done the most to mitigate food insecurity within the Northland Pines, Three Lakes or Phelps School Districts.

“Between now and Nov. 13, FORK is accepting nominations for their 2024 Crimson FORK Award,” explained Crimson FORK Chairperson Scott Foster.

Through the Crimson FORK Award, FORK annually recognizes those in the community who display “the biggest heart and commitment to the welfare of children,” says the organization.

Foster continued, “This award is to recognize non-monetary efforts that make a difference in the lives of children. We are looking for those, other than FORK, who are committed to pushing back against food insecurity in this area.”

Previous winners of the Crimson FORK award winners include the Vilas County News-Review, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Betsy Spencer and Jackie Cohglan.

Crimson FORK nominations can be emailed to Info@FeedOurRuralKids.org.

Feed Our Rural Kids is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide nutritional support to children from food-insecure homes within the Northland Pines, Three Lakes and Phelps School Districts.
