LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Voting helps shape your government

Letter to the Editor:

This is your country and it should reflect your values.

If your values are Biblical, constitutional, secular, socialist or whatever, they should be reflected in government. Whether that government is local, like the school board or city council, or whether it is the national government, your values should be in there somewhere.

The higher the level of government, the more likely it is that your values will be diluted. But if you don’t vote, as some do, then none of your values will be reflected. Why would they be if they are never expressed?

Our elected officials determine how our society looks, feels and operates; and you determine who those officials are that represent you by your vote.

Demand what you want your country to be like! Vote!
