Nicolet National Bank Senior Spotlight

Mylo Albrecht, Northland Pines boys basketball

Posted

Mylo Albrecht is one of two seniors on the Northland Pines varsity boys basketball team this season. He is also an athlete on the track in the spring, where he enjoys the competition and pure athleticism of the sport. Outside of sports, Albrecht enjoys being outside and hanging out with his friends every chance he gets.

Here is more on the Northland Pines senior:

Do you have a nickname that your friends or family call you?
“My friends and my coaches call me Lo. It just became a nickname when I was playing basketball this summer, and it is short and easy.”

Do you participate in any other sports besides basketball?
“I run track as well. I love being able to compete, and track is raw athleticism, so it’s really fun and competitive. I also like the social aspect, as I get to be around my friends most of the time.”

What other hobbies do you have outside of sports?
“Outside of sports I love to be outdoors and do activities like hiking. I enjoy hanging out with my friends as much as I can on top of that.”

Favorite vacation spot that you’ve been to?

“My favorite vacation spot is Lowman, Idaho. It has some of the best views and mountains I’ve ever seen, and they have natural hot springs along the river which are really nice.”

Do you have a pregame ritual that helps you before your games?
“My pregame ritual is wearing my lucky garments. I’ve played the best games of my career in them, and they always seem to give me luck and make me shoot better.”

Do you have any plans for after high school? Do you want to play a sport in college?
“I plan to play basketball at the collegiate level. I have not decided what college I want to attend, but I know that I want to become a physical therapist.”
