Northland Pines senior Jordyn Hahn has seen her fair share of sports fields and courts throughout her high school career, but after an ACL injury during softball, she shifted her focus solely on her comeback to the ice. She wants to lead the team in blocked shots and show herself as a leader on and off the ice. After high school, Hahn would like to major in neuroscience.
Do you have a nickname that your friends or family call you?
“My teammates call me Jordy. It’s just a shortened version of my name and something I’ve always been called in sports.”
Do you participate in any other sports besides hockey?
Is there a personal goal you have on the ice this year?
“One of my personal goals this season is to lead the team in blocked shots and contribute as a leader on and off the ice. I want to do whatever I can to support my teammates and help the team succeed.”
What other hobbies do you have outside of sports?
“Outside of sports, I enjoy weightlifting, reading and spending time outdoors.”
Favorite vacation spot that you’ve been to?
“My favorite vacation spot I’ve been to is St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I loved hiking to tide pools and up to a lighthouse, as well as snorkeling, kayaking and spending time on the beach.”
Do you have a pregame ritual that helps you before your games?
“After off-ice warmups, I like to stretch by myself and then retape my stick to get focused before the game.”
Do you have any plans for after high school? College?
