Nicolet National Bank Senior Spotlight

Northland Pines senior Tyler Vojta is not only a multi-sport athlete, but a multi-sport athlete in the same season. Vojta is one of six seniors on the Pines varsity boys’ soccer team and also one of 18 seniors on the varsity football team. Vojta is the punter and placekicker for the Eagles, where he has already hit a 43-yard field goal this season. Outside of sports, Vojta likes to fish and downhill ski in the winter. He is currently looking at options to continue his soccer career after high school. Here is more on the Northland Pines senior:

Do you have a nickname that your friends or family call you?
“Tarter. One person said it, and it just stuck. There is really no reason for it.”

Do you participate in any other sports?
“Soccer, football, basketball and golf. I’ve played them all from a very young age.”

Do you have a personal goal on the field for this year?
“My football goal is to make the playoffs, and my soccer goal is to win the conference because we have never done either of those while I have been in high school.”

What other hobbies do you have outside of sports?
“I like to fish and downhill ski.”

Favorite vacation spot you’ve been to?

“Sweden. I like the colder weather, the food is good, and there are a lot of historical things to visit.”

Do you have a pre-game ritual?
“For soccer, I jump over our goalie right before kickoff. For football, we do a team prayer.”

Do you have any plans for after high school? College?
“I am looking to play college soccer and haven’t decided my major yet.”
