PEDAL IN THE PINES — Approximately 135 riders of all ages took part in the third annual Pedal in the Pines bike ride Saturday at St. Germain Community Park, choosing from 9-, 18- and 35-mile routes. The event also featured lunch, live music by Brian McLaughlin and raffle prizes. According to organizer and club Treasurer Gina Vogel, participation has grown each year, with riders traveling from as far away as Texas and Arizona this year. Proceeds support the St. Germain Silent Trails group's efforts to develop hiking, biking, snowshoeing and ski trails. The group is currently fundraising for an equipment storage shed and is seeking new members.
