Pines awards more than $343,000 during scholarship night

Community generosity was on display May 4 at Northland Pines High School’s annual Scholarship and Awards Night, where graduating seniors received a total of $343,350 in scholarships from local Lions clubs, service organizations, resource groups, and individual and memorial donors.

The ceremony also recognized the top 10% of the graduating class, pictured above, along with junior and senior members of the National Honor Society, who received the Feed Our Rural Kids Crimson FORK Award.

The total does not include additional scholarships students may receive from the colleges or universities they plan to attend.
