The St. Germain Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the start of the fall season this weekend with the 68th annual Colorama, featuring a beer and wine tasting event, craft vendors, a car show and a raffle for tickets to a Green Bay Packers-Chicago Bears game.
“Colorama has been hosted for many decades and is a regular fall activity for many people,” said Jennie Saltzgiver, events and membership coordinator at the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce. “We try new things every few years to keep it fresh.”
Changes in 2026 include adding motorcycles to the car show and moving Pints in the Park to Friday night, which Saltzgiver said was done “simply to shake things up.”
“Pints in the Park needed more of the spotlight, so we have a bigger band — Open Tab — and hope that some people will come back the next day for Colorama or stay the night in St. Germain,” she said.
The weekend kicks off with Pints in the Park and Wine Walk on Friday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the St. Germain Pavilion.
Attendees can taste a variety of craft beers, wines and snack pairings selected by St. Germain establishments, including 19th Hole Sports Bar and Grill, Clearview Supper Club, The Hillside Tavern and Grill, Pub ‘N Prime, Red Canoe Coffee and Cocktails, Original 420 Bar and Grill and Whitetail Inn. Nonalcoholic drinks will also be available.
Additionally, the Northwoods Fusion Eats food truck will serve barbecue and brisket with a Venezuelan flair, and Open Tab will perform pop, rock and hip-hop tunes.
Colorama will be held the following day, Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Germain Community Park and Pavilion.
Local crafters will sell jewelry, soap, wooden signs, jams and jellies, fresh bread, pottery, stained glass, nature and aerial photos, quilts, fudge, home decor, cookies and crocheted creations.
There will also be a farmers market and mum sale. Children’s activities include full-size pumpkin painting while supplies last, face painting and games.
Food options include kettle corn and bites from the St. Germain Northwoods Lions Club, with live music provided by Gregg Thomas.
While at Colorama, attendees can stroll through the Fall Cruisin’ Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show and vote for their favorite rides. The show features 19 classes, with motorcycles new this year. Awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.
Those interested in bringing a vehicle can register the day of the event at 8 a.m. Registration is $20 per entry, with proceeds benefiting the Dr. Kate Museum in Woodruff.
The show, sponsored by Cathy’s Ice Cream ‘n Candy Shoppe and Red Canoe Coffee and Cocktails, will take place at the ballfield north of the St. Germain Pavilion.
To top off the festivities, two winners will each receive a pair of tickets to the Packers-Bears game Sunday, Oct. 11, at 3:25 p.m. in Green Bay.
Raffle tickets cost $30 each and are available at Pints in the Park and Colorama. Winners will be announced at Colorama but do not need to be present to win. Participants must be 18 or older to purchase raffle tickets.
