The Barricade Boys to perform in Eagle River

Posted

The Headwaters Council for the Performing Arts (HCPA), in partnership with season sponsor Whitetail Lodge and show sponsor Aspirus Health, will present its second show of the 2025–2026 season when the U.K. theatrical vocal group The Barricade Boys take the stage Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Northland Pines High School Auditorium.

The Barricade Boys were formed when two friends and former “Les Misérables” cast members, Scott Garnham and Simon Schofield, envisioned a unique night of musical theater. Their performances combine popular musical hits with pop, rock, Motown, and swing, all delivered with four-part harmonies, strong vocals, and choreographed dance routines.

The show will feature songs from musicals such as “Mamma Mia,” “The Sound of Music” and “Phantom of the Opera,” along with classic pop, rock, and swing numbers. Organizers say the group’s chemistry and rapport with the audience create a “warm and intimate” concert experience.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with tickets priced at $35. They are available at Eagle River Roasters, online at hcpapresents.com, or at the door. Seating is general admission, and both the school and auditorium are fully accessible.

Pre-show entertainment begins at 6:15 p.m. in the auditorium lobby with Eagle River’s Gerry and Laura Plank performing a mix of classic rock, smooth jazz, and blues.

HCPA will also hold its popular raffle basket drawings, featuring items donated by local businesses and season ticket holders. Raffle tickets cost $5 each or five for $20, with winners announced during intermission.

For more information, call ticket director Debbie Poulopoulos at 630-712-0530 or visit hcpapresents.com.

HCPA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the state and the National Endowment for the Arts.
