The Library is open for in-person visits and curbside service. As always, Wi-Fi access and digital services are available 24/7. Have questions? Find answers at olsonlibrary.org and contact the library at 715-479-8070 or olsonlibrary@gmail.com.
Here’s what else you need to know about current Library happenings:
• Thursday, Dec. 12, 9:30 a.m.: Growing Together, a free monthly program for children and their grown-ups from Vilas Public Health. Each month we’ll do a craft/activity, learn about area resources, and build connections within and between families. RSVP at surveymonkey.com/r/5TSYKXK so that there are enough supplies.
• Thursday, Dec. 12, 3 - 5 p.m.: Silent Book Club. Wish you could do a book club but can’t commit to finishing the book? Try out the Library’s Silent Book Club where you bring your current read! From 3 - 3:30 p.m., folks can share what they’re reading and make recommendations, then the rest of the time is for enjoying refreshments, relaxing and reading your book.
• Saturday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m.: Check out our new Historical Fiction Book Club! This month, we’re reading “The Dictionary of Lost Words” by Pip Williams, a celebration of words and the power of language to shape the world, and tells the story of the development of the first Oxford English Dictionary

• Monday, Dec. 16, 10 - 11:30 a.m.: Memory Café. Memory Café is an opportunity for people living with memory loss and dementia and their care partners to enjoy regular, social interaction and refreshments with others to laugh, to learn, and create community. This month, we’ll be enjoying seasonal music with Karen Hassey — all are welcome! Questions? Contact Leah Baughman, Dementia Specialist for the Vilas County ADRC at (715) 479-3625.
• Monday, Dec. 16, 5 p.m.: We’re showing “We’re No Angels,” the classic 1955 Christmas comedy starring Humphrey Bogart. Three Devils Island escapees hide out in the house of a kindly merchant and repay his kindness by helping him and his family out of several crises. Popcorn provided!
• The Nicolet Academic Success Center at OML is on hiatus until Jan. 13.
