The Warehouse Community Arts Center has been awarded a $4,000 Packers Foundation grant.
On Thursday, Nov. 21, Director Kim Adamovich traveled to Green Bay to accept the grant.
The Packers Foundation is a component of the Green Bay Packers Give Back, the all-encompassing community outreach initiative. The Foundation, an entity independent of the Green Bay Packers, gives out yearly grants towards project/program focus areas on a three-year cycle. The 2024 focus was on the arts, culture, athletics, and education. Nonprofits, charities, and schools are all supported.
The Warehouse Community Arts Center will be using the funds from the grant to support the position of a programming administrator. Aley Schiessl-Moore is in the role, and has been diversifying the arts programming there.
While continuing the current ceramics and Lifelong Learning arts classes, there are also additions with wood carving, sourdough bread, oil painting, and more.
Director Kim Adamovich said, “We are thrilled to be awarded this grant. It will allow the Warehouse to support its mission in bringing quality arts education and enrichment to the community. We believe that access to the arts improves quality of life, and it helps contribute to the economic vitality of our community. We hope our programming will draw more people to the great things going on at the Community Arts Center.”
The Warehouse includes a ceramic studio, an art classroom, a full bar with gallery, and a community room. A patio with alley access to public parking is open during the snowless months.
The Warehouse Community Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and brings quality arts education and enrichment to all ages of locals or visitors to the North Woods. It is located in downtown Eagle River at 107 S. Railroad St.
