The Wisconsin Windigo is scheduled to return to Eagle River for a special “Home away from Home” series this upcoming winter, set for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6 and 7, 2027, at the historic Eagle River Dome.
Wisconsin will face the Minnesota Wilderness in two North American Hockey League matchups at the Dome, with both games starting at 6:35 p.m.
Not only is the weekend celebrating a special return to where the team called home for a few seasons, the two-game stint is also a major fundraising event for the Eagle River Recreational Association.
Proceeds from ticket sales, chuck-a-puck, 50/50 raffles will go directly towards the future of the ERRA. Silent auctions will also be run throughout the weekend as well. The Windigo will be bringing jerseys, signed hockey sticks and other memorabilia for the silent auction.
“Fans can expect a full weekend experience filled with energy and hometown pride,” the event listing stated. “Every ticket purchased helps invest directly in the future of hockey in Eagle River.”
The event is set to highlight some of what the ERRA has to offer. Other activities throughout the the weekend include ERRA youth players taking part in on-ice and locker room starting lineups, Mites will play in mini games inbetween periods and players will be available after games for postgame autographs and photos. More information will be available closer to the event.
