The public is invited to attend the Up North Community Expo this Thursday, March 5, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hodag Dome in Rhinelander.
This free expo offers attendees the chance to see what the North Woods has to offer, all in one place. Businesses and organizations from a seven-county North Woods area will be on display.
“Connect with local businesses and community organizations, discover services and opportunities you may not even realize are right in your backyard, and meet the people who help keep our communities thriving,” said Rachel Boehlen, director of events and strategic initiatives for the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce.
“With door prizes, kids’ activities by the Northwoods Children’s Museum, Bingo by the Oneida County Fair, and even 24 businesses currently hiring, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re new to the area or have called it home for years, the expo is a great way to stay informed, get connected, and support local.”
For those who cannot make the daytime event, there is also an Expo After Hours from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rouman Cinema. As food and drink are not allowed inside the Hodag Dome, the after-hours event gives food and beverage vendors a chance to showcase their goods at an alternate location.
Cost is $10 at the door and provides a relaxing atmosphere where exhibitors and community members can gather, sample food and beverages, and get a taste of the North Woods, Boehnen said.
