DEJ revoked in drug case involving Ashland woman

Amanda Andrews, 31, of Ashland, had a Deferred Entry of Judgement (DEJ) revoked on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine at a hearing last week. Prosecutors motioned for it to be revoked, and the defense did not contest. Judge Daniel Overbey stayed a sentence of six months in Vilas Jail for 12 months of probation with conditions. The offense occurred on July 21, 2021.

Joshua Gurneau, 32, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared in custody for an arraignment hearing on one felony charge of a threat to cause bodily harm to certain individuals involved with the court or legal system. Gurneau pleaded not guilty to the charge, and a judicial pretrial was scheduled for March 3 at 8:45 a.m. The alleged offense took place on Nov. 28, 2025.

Dennis Segerson, 41, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of fourth-offense OWI. Segerson pleaded guilty and was ordered to two years of probation with conditions. Judge Martha Milanowski stayed a sentence of 10 months in Vilas County Jail for the probation period. Segerson will serve 75 days of conditional jail, two days credit, and will have fines/costs totaling $2,322. The offense occurred on Feb. 19, 2025.

Tiana Theobald, 34, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. Judge Daniel Overbey stayed a sentence of 10 months in Vilas County Jail for two years of probation with conditions. There are $518 in court costs due to the Clerk of Courts Office within 30 days. There were 79 days of presentence credit in the case of revocation.

Joseph Beard, 30, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a final pretrial on one felony charge of Carjacking: use of force. Beard pleaded not guilty during the hearing. Other jury trial instructions were discussed during the hearing. A jury trial is set in the case for Feb. 23 at 8:15 a.m. The alleged offense occurred Dec. 18, 2025.
