Ford pleads guilty to felony fraud charges last week

Glenn Ford, 24, of New York, pleaded guilty to one felony charge of fraud against a financial institution and one felony charge of misappropriating ID to obtain money at a plea hearing last week. Judge Martha Milanowski ordered a presentence investigation. Bond was revoked in the case. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for April 29 at 10 a.m. The offense took place in Eagle River on Dec. 2, 2025.

Chantal Kirkland, 52, of Land O’ Lakes, appeared for an initial hearing on one felony charge of theft of movable property and one misdemeanor.
Judge Daniel Overbey ordered a $30,000 signature bond with conditions to not have any contact with the victims in the case. The alleged offenses took place on Aug. 20, 2025. An adjourned initial appearance was scheduled for March 23 at 11:30 a.m.

Steven Nielsen, 34, of Mercer, pleaded guilty at a plea/sentencing hearing last week to one count of felony possession of methamphetamine. Judge Daniel Overbey stated a 12-month sentence in Vilas County Jail for two years of probation with conditions. There were six days of presentence credit in the case of revocation. The possession offense occurred on July 2, 2025.

Alyah Stone, 27, of Woodruff, pleaded guilty to one felony charge of misappropriating ID to obtain money. Judge Daniel Overbey stayed a 90-day sentence in Vilas County Jail for two years of probation with conditions. There were two days of credit in the case of revocation. The offense occurred on June 23, 2025.
