Stevens Point man pleads guilty to drug charge
Anthony Ross, 52, of Stevens Point, pleaded guilty to one felony count of possession with intent of amphetamine/methamphetamine (> 10-50g) last week at a plea hearing. The defense requested a presentence investigation, which was then ordered by Judge Daniel Overbey. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for May 18 at 3 p.m. The offense occurred on Aug. 6, 2025.
Kaia La Barge, 20, of Lac du Flambeau, pleaded guilty to one felony count of battery to certain individuals involved with the court or legal system and one misdemeanor bail jumping charge. A sentencing hearing in the case was scheduled for April 15 at 9:30 a.m. The offenses took place on Nov. 21, 2025.
Kelly Moderson, 41, of Fremont, pleaded not guilty to one felony charge of issuing worthless checks ($2,500) at an arraignment hearing last week.
Bond was continued, and a judicial pretrial was scheduled for May 19 at 10 a.m. The alleged offense occurred Aug. 9, 2025.
Allen Sadowski, 46, of Watertown, appeared for a motion hearing on two felony charges of stalking- previous conviction of a violent crime and one bail-jumping felony.
Judge Martha Milanowski denied the motion to dismiss. The defense also argued for a bond motion. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 27 at 2 p.m.
The offenses took place on March 18, 2025, and Aug. 21, 2025.
