Minocqua woman placed on probation for drug possession
Ivy Meyers, 23, of Minocqua, appeared for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor bail-jumping charge. Meyers pled guilty to both charges and was handed two years of probation with conditions for the felony possession offense. Judge Martha Milanowski stayed a nine-month sentence in Vilas Jail for the probation period. That will be served in the case of probation being revoked, with four days of presentence credit being added on.
The offenses took place on April 22, 2025.
Jessica Brandt, 33, of Saint Paul, Minn., appeared for a preliminary hearing on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. She waived the hearing, and the case was bound over for arraignment. A not-guilty plea was entered by the court. A judicial pretrial was scheduled for July 28, at 9:45 a.m. The alleged offense occurred on Feb. 14 of this year.
Allen Bear, 50, of Park Falls, appeared for a pretrial hearing on one felony charge of fifth-or sixth-offense OWI. Both prosecutors and the defense updated the court, and the defense requested that a jury trial be scheduled. That trial was scheduled for Oct. 29 at 8:15 a.m. A final pretrial will be held before then on Sept. 15 at 10:30 a.m. The alleged offense took place on June 18, 2025.
Michael Allen, 47, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a final pretrial on one felony charge of possession of a firearm, convicted of a felony. The defense indicated that the scheduled jury trial can be taken off the calendar. The court scheduled a plea hearing for May 19 at 10:30 a.m. The alleged offense occurred on April 24, 2023.
