Cash bond set at $15,000 for St. G man in child pornography case
Eric Williams, 33, of St. Germain, appeared for an adjourned initial appearance on one felony charge of possession of child pornography. Back on April 22, Judge Daniel Overbey ordered a $15,000 cash bond with conditions. An attorney was appointed in the most recent court date, with a preliminary hearing set earlier this week on May 18. The alleged offense took place April 23, 2024.
Chandler Savel, 21, of St. Germain, appeared for a sentencing hearing last week on one felony charge of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and one forfeiture for operating with a restricted controlled substance. Judge Daniel Overbey stayed a sentence of two years of confinement and two years of extended supervision, and imposed four years of probation with conditions for the felony. There were also $518 in court costs for that charge.
A $1,175 fine was ordered for the other charge, with nine months of license revocation. There was one day of presentence credit in the case of revocation. Savel pleaded guilty back on Feb. 27, while the offenses took place back in 2024.
Kelli St. Germaine, 34, of Lac du Flambeau, was sentenced to one year of confinement and three years of extended supervision for one felony conviction of possession with intent of fentanyl. There were 40 days of presentence credit for the case. The offense occurred back on May 1, 2024.
Shawntae Beson, 31, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a sentencing hearing on one felony charge of possession of methamphetamine and one felony charge of bail jumping. Judge Martha Milanowski ordered six months in jail for both counts, with it also running concurrently with two other cases involving Beson. She was also ordered to serve three years of probation for two charges of possession of narcotic drugs and one other felony bail-jumping charge.
Justin Smith, 47, of Arbor Vitae, pleaded guilty to a fourth-offense OWI charge at a plea/sentencing hearing last week. Judge Martha Milanowski stayed a sentence of 150 days in Vilas Jail for 30 months of probation, which includes 45 days of conditional jail with huber. Smith will also have a 36-month license revocation and an ignition interlock device. Financial obligations of $2,511.50 is to be paid to the Clerk of Courts Office. The offense took place in September 2025.
Scott Moxham, 37, of Lac du Flambeau, pleaded guilty to one felony count of threat to cause bodily harm to certain individuals involved with court or legal system and one felony bail-jumping charge at a plea/sentencing hearing. Judge Daniel Overbey ordered nine months in the Vilas Jail for both counts. Moxham was also ordered to nine months in jail for a second bail-jumping charge and two misdemeanor charges in another case.
