Ford sentenced in Eagle River fraud case

Glenn Ford, 23, of Bronx, New York, appeared in custody from Vilas County Jail for a sentencing hearing on one felony charge of fraud against a financial institution, with a party to a crime modifier, and a second felony charge of misappropriation of ID info to obtain money. Ford was sentenced to 4.5 years in the Wisconsin Prison System, with 18 months of confinement and 36 months of extended supervision with conditions. Part of the conditions includes $9,830 in restitution (joint and several), no contact with co-defendants and victims, among others. The offense took place in Eagle River on Dec. 2, 2025.

Elizabeth Mewes, 54, of Brooklyn, New York, appeared for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of fraud against a financial institution and one felony of misappropriation of ID info to obtain money. Mewes pleaded guilty to both charges. Judge Martha Milanowski imposed and stated a sentence of one year of confinement and two years of extended supervision for three years of probation with conditions. One of the conditions includes paying $9,830 in restitution (joint and several). There were 150 days of confinement in the case of renovation. The offense took place on Dec. 2, 2025, which is connected to the Ford case.

Skylar La Barge, 32, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared in custody for a sentencing hearing on two felony charges of child abuse, intentionally causing harm, one felony suffocation or strangulation charge and two misdemeanor charges.
La Barge was sentenced to three years of confinement and three years of extended supervision for the three felony charges and $1,554 in total court costs. All charges will run concurrently with each other. There were 363 days of presentence credit, and the offenses took place on May 1, 2025.

George Armstrong III, 28, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a motion hearing last week on one felony charge of possession of narcotic drugs, one bail jumping felony and one other misdemeanor. The Court denied his bond motion, and his $500 cash bond with conditions was continued.

Dustin Kitsemble, 35, of Antigo, appeared for an initial hearing on one felony charge of theft by contractor >$10,000-$100,000. Judge Martha Milanowski ordered a $5,000 signature bond with conditions.
