Arraignment scheduled for Flambeau man for attempted escape under supervision

Edward Chosa, 40, of Lac du Flambeau, appeared for a preliminary hearing on one felony charge of attempt to escape while under extended supervision with a use of a dangerous weapon modifier. An arraignment hearing was scheduled at the end of the hearing. Detective Nickolas Weber from the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Police Department provided testimony, and the court found probable cause. The arraignment hearing was scheduled for Sept. 21 at 11:45 a.m.

Kelly Moderson, 41, of Fremont, failed to appear for a plea/sentencing hearing on one felony charge of issuing worthless checks. The defense has had minimal contact with Moderson, and Judge Daniel Overbey ordered a body-only warrant with no voluntary appearances allowed. The alleged offense took place on Aug. 9, 2025.
