Headwaters Council for the Performing Arts (HCPA) will present Ikons of Rock, a Las Vegas-inspired classic rock ’n’ roll experience, Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. at Northland Pines High School in Eagle River.
According to HCPA, Ikons is a Las Vegas touring company that goes beyond the boundaries of a typical tribute band. Each performance is carefully crafted, with music, stage presence and attention to detail designed to make audiences feel as though they are watching multiple legendary artists in their prime, including Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Alice Cooper and more.
“The group’s ability to capture not only the music but also the mannerisms, voices and visual style, including costumes, of rock’s most celebrated figures has earned it a strong reputation and loyal following,” HCPA said.
The cast of Ikons is made up of accomplished musicians and entertainers who have collectively toured internationally, appeared in film and television productions, and written commercially released music for sports and broadcast media. They have shared the stage with such artists as The Beach Boys, Heart, Rick Springfield, Whitesnake and Bret Michaels.
Originally formed as a creative outlet during breaks from touring, Ikons has grown into an international touring production.
“The makeup, details in the costumes and the vibrant visuals are first-class,” HCPA said.
HCPA will continue collecting bids for its silent auction featuring a red, white and blue handmade quilt celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. A “Treats and Treasures for HCPA” fundraiser will also be held, featuring a fall-themed bake sale with homemade goodies.
Tickets are $35 and are available online at hcpapresents.com, at Eagle River Roasters or at the door beginning at 6 p.m. the evening of the performance. All seating is general admission, and both the high school and auditorium are fully accessible to people with disabilities. Board members will be available to provide assistance as needed.
