Hwy 51 road work resumes in downtown Minocqua

Another pause set for Beef-A-Rama

Posted

Work has resumed on Highway 51 from Front Street to the Minocqua Bridge in Oneida County as of Sept. 8 following a pause that went into effect for the busy summer months.

Construction was paused in early June but is resuming now that the Labor Day holiday has passed. Crews will remove traffic control and construction materials just ahead of the Beef-A-Rama event on Sept. 26, then return after the event to finish the project.

During construction, there will be single lane closures through downtown Minocqua. The project is anticipated to wrap up Oct. 20, but that schedule is dependent on weather and construction progress.
