Judith Ann Nocerini, 80, originally from Phelps, died on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at Rennes Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rhinelander.
She was born in Phelps on March 29, 1944, to Thomas and Ida (Byington) Hogenmiller. She attended school in Phelps and spent summers working as a nanny in the Chicago area.
She married Ralph Nocerini on April 17, 1965, and they had five children together. She was a homemaker for a time, but later became a CNA and worked for over 30 years at Lillian Kerr Nursing Home in Phelps.
She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved watching the birds and wildlife of the Northwoods, and she cherished her pet cat, Pepito.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers, her husband, Ralph; and one son, Richard.
She is survived by one brother, James Hogenmiller, of Sullivan; her son, Randy (Becki) Nocerini of Black Hawk, South Dakota; her daughter, Julie (Chris) Lax of Conover; her son, Roger (Katrina) Nocerini of Sugar Camp; and her daughter, Jessica (Tom) Eernisse of Rhinelander; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family thanks Rennes Health and Rehabilitation Center, Compassus Hospice, and Hildebrand Funeral Home for their compassionate care and service.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
